We’re so thrilled to share with you one of our most loved Wedding at Archeo, Distillery District Toronto! Cristiana and Matthew wanted to embrace their connection to the exotic jungle in Tulum, a trip they’ve taken together and wanted to emulate for their special day. Cristiana reached out to us wanting to bring something special and unforgettable to their guests, “I want to feel like we’re dancing in the jungle” she explained. We were over the moon excited to start the creative process for this beautiful exotic and unique wedding ceremony and reception at Archeo, tucked away just in the Distillery District in Toronto.
Our gorgeous bride had beautiful orchids, peonies, white king protea, lilac and white anthurium in her bouquet; no roses were featured here! Just exotic, premium blooms, a one-of-a-kind look. Mango studio did a phenomenal job capturing the essence of their playful and unique relationship throughout downtown Toronto and One King West. We love their signature blurry moment photographs.
Custom Drop Ceiling
Archeo presented us with its own inviting backdrop of modern and industrial design for the reception space and cobblestone patio for the ceremony. We kept the guest-tables minimal, with napkin fold place settings, favours, and a garland of tropical monstera leaves.
A custom drop ceiling was constructed over Cristiana and Matthew’s sweetheart table and dancefloor. With the flick of a hand (or rather, many helping hands), it felt as if we were transported into the deep tropical jungle. Floating just above our heads hung large silk monstera leaves, palms, tiki bunches and ferns.
Backdrops & Flower Wall
We couldn’t stop there; we incorporated a custom wedding backdrop behind their sweetheart table, which was the perfect addition to the drop ceiling, bringing the whole design together as a whole. The lush palms and grasses finished the edges of this lush tropical flower wall, and a bright neon sign inscribed their surname and illuminated the room. Together, along with the ambient lighting of the venue, beautiful candlelit tables, and even the hanging disco ball nestled in the jungle drop ceiling, we created a tropical styled wedding where no detail was overlooked.
